Blah Summer

This summers been rather boring I just discovered. Well, I've been bored plenty but now Im even MORE bored with no vehicle, just back to my two feet and pedal power to get around, and every once in awhile the city bus, and no job. I cannot wait for school to start! One more month and counting... just hoping Ill be able to come up with the funds before hand to get the books I need! My new addiction is the Bejeweled Blitz game on facebook... dunno why Ive been playing it way too much... usually I dont have the attention span for computer games...
but yeah, its been a rather non interesting summer... and its almost over. So far this summer I have managed to blow up my car, crash my computer (which meant I lost the whole 40 some pages of my book I had already typed and saved for the 2nd time), finish watching the entire 10th season of 7th Heaven (one more to go, just wish they would release the date its coming to DVD) and yeah, thats about all :)

120 + 90 Days....

on house arrest.

To begin no later than Sept 9.

Although the pc (politically correct) term for it now is "electronic monitoring" which basically means you can go to school... and work... and a few random other things scheduled at minimum a day in advance.

At least I can still go to work and school. Well, that would be nice... if I had a job.

This totally sucks. And it all started with an incident that should have never escalated to begin with. And the person who caused most of this trouble got nothing. Nada. Zip. And is walking around with not even an ounce of guilt in her heart. Happy she got what she wanted... which is me, all to herself.

I AM NOT A LESBIAN. And I'm not about to start swinging that way.

How does one deal with a roomate who is so obsessed with being around one person that it hurts them when they are away? That they can't even cope with being seperated?

I don't mind it. I'm happy to get away from her every now and then. I know children that aren't as attached to their parents as she appears to be to me.

Okay... a couple weekends ago when I went home to visit... she did my laundry. This may have not bothered me so much...... if it had been my shirts and jeans.

No.

She did my whites and underclothes.

Whats even creepier... she put them away. In MY dresser. This also would not have bothered me so much if we are a "couple" and/or even married... but there's just some things certain friends, no matter how close, including roomates, should NOT do for each other... one of them being intimate laundry.

So I thought my life was going to get better once the roomate (or I) got a job... she starts a new job on Monday... I start school on Monday... still no work...

but this apartment will be my jail cell. It's a heck of a lot better than being IN jail... at least I can choose the food I eat :)

So basically I have til Sept 9th to get a landline installed here for the electronic monitoring or report to the jail.

And trying to get that going today was craziness. Of course the county contracts with only one company, CenturyLink, which is now two that merged, CenturyTel and Embarq. So I go to the website and call the number on the site. The chick I got there said I have to talk to the CenturyTel people, she transfers me there.

On hold again.

The rep I get on the phone says I need the sales dept. She was going to transfer me and told me it was an estimated half hour wait so gave me the number to call later. I write down the number exactly as she gave it.

Lil bit later, I call the number. I get an automated voice telling me to call another number and it ends the call.

I call that number... it's a SEX CHAT LINE!

Ay yi yi... back to the beginning. I call the first number I called again. I tell the rep what happened and how I was told before I needed to talk to sales on the CenturyTel side. The chick there tells me she can use both computer systems and can get everything set up for me. I wasnt happy but ok...

...and now I hafta come up with a 25.00 deposit before they can get it hooked up. But already issued me a phone number... and I need to find a corded phone to hook up... Justice sanctions says it can't be a cordless phone... I mean, who has those anymore?

So, I guess I'll hafta find lotsa things to do to keep me busy. No Oktoberfest for me this year :( But its better than being IN jail. Thats all I can say right now.

Boredom Is....

setting in. Big time. I am so bored. And no, Mom, I am not going to scrub the bathroom floor on my hands and knees with a toothbrush. That's what she always used to tell us to do when we're bored.

My roomates making cookies.

A.D.D. has set in. Tried playing Tetris and Bejeweled on facebook... that didn't last long. I get sick of sitting still so much.

I'm trying to write a book. I don't think the darn book wants to be written. I've got some of it... probably about 100 pages printed and edited over and over and over again, and an outline for the majority of the rest of it... but every time I try to write it again... my laptop crashes. 3 times now I've had it saved on the computer and not backed up except to the printed copy, and the laptop ended up having to be reformatted. And now my USB ports aren't working so I can't even save it to my flash drive, and my CD drive hasnt worked since the first time my computer crashed in 07 when it got wiped out with a bottle of liquid across the keyboard and fried.

Robot Chicken is on. You think my A.D.D. is bad... whoever created that show... it has to be worse LOL

Nervous, Scared, and Excited

All at the same time. Is that possible?

I need a full body massage and a soak in a hot tub. We havent been able to go camping at all this summer, which is where I got my full of hot tubbedness last summer. I used to not like them. Maybe I'm just getting old. Even camping for one night would be great but we just havent been able to make the time and the funds and the transportation to get to the only campground we'd probably ever go to ever again.... Christmas Mountain!

Scared... school starts in a week. Its been 3 yrs since I been in school... graduated tech college in 2007 with my associates degree... going back for my bachelors starting on the 30th... although the schedule is kinda fun (NOT) 530 to 10 pm classes one night a week, two classes at a time this term for 8 weeks... gonna be a change. Excited about it too... I remember my first day of tech school... Aug 23 2004... I was shaking LOL 3 days later I got hit by a car while riding my bike and that put me in a neck and shoulder brace and out of school for a week.

And I need a darn job! 3 weeks of fighting with WalMart for them to tell me this morning that theyre waiting for the background check to come back... and that walmart doesnt even make the decision to hire... the company they send the info out to for the background check decides that. But why would they waste the time with drug testing and making the job offer if they wont even hire you? They should check that info before they give a SECOND interview.

My cats trying to share my lap with my laptop. I think she misses the recliner where she could lie on my arm on the recliner arm while I had my laptop... not so easy on the couch... poor recliners buried in the storage shed til I can get a job and back into my own place... which I want nothing more than to be right now... I can even deal without a car for now... never stopped me before...

I've always lived with the philosophy that you do what you gotta. When I was in college I was living with my brother and sister in law and sharing a bedroom with my 2 year old nephew. I would wake up at 8 ish and ride my bike to the closest bus stop a few miles away, ride the bus downtown to campus, go to school all day til 2,3,430 ish... I was taking anywhere from 17 to 22 credits my first two years of school... then go home, take a nap (not easy with a 2 yr old in the room) and eat dinner... maybe take another nap... round 8-830 Id have to leave home again, walk to the bus stop again, ride the last bus downtown which got there around 1030, sit in the breakroom for an hour or so doing homework, then start work around 11 15-1130pm, get done anywhere between 130 and 4 am... then walk home. 6 miles one way. My brother left for work at 445 am... and many times I would pass him about a block from home on his way to work on my way home. It is true that the more you do something the easier it becomes. I got that 6 mile walk down to an hour and a half. On a good night. Snow, rain, didnt stop me or bother me... but it did make passersby freak out and call the cops on me all the time... which drove me insane because they would have to come pick me up and would offer me a ride into the city limits, or sometimes they would even drive me all the way home.

And thats why my sis calls me the Human Donut

Random Things About Me

Wow.
I'm trying to figure out blogging.
It's totally new to me.
I've seen it done before.
And I have way too much time on my hands.
So I decided (with Emily's help) to post randomness about me.
To add to the randomness of my blog.
Although anyone who reads the About Me part of my facebook profile
will probably see the same things.
But no one reads that anymore.
Thanks to the "new" facebook.
My cat is currently on my desk headbutting my arm.
I am hungry.
I have never been to Mall of America, Six Flags, Cedar Point, or ValleyFair
but want to see them all before I die
and when I am still young enough to enjoy them.
I have an older sister I didn't know I had
until I was 24.
My roomate is being mean to my cat.
I like to write ... between thoughts
instead of using proper grammar
which I am usually awesome at
and kicked butt in English classes in school.
I'm trying to quit drinking Mountain Dew.
That's not going so well.
I used to ride my bike from home to the Dells.
3 nights a week.
That was 26 miles. One way.
I like to be outside.
Just sitting or walking or biking or standing.
I just got into a belching match with my roomate.
I think I won.
We have too much time on our hands.
Old school Super Nintendo rocks.
I'll kick anyones butt at air hockey
except my Dad.
And I dunno how this got double spaced
but I dont think I like it
so I'm gonna stop now
and go find something
to eat

Drama Fools Need to Get a Life!

Yeah. They do. This all started when I came back to La Crosse, although I'm not going to let it stop me from coming back. Basically, my roomates parents hate me. i dont know why, but these people are EVIL. They even tried breaking up their own daughters wedding a couple years back. They werent invited for a reason. The morning of the wedding, they showed up at Niks door at 8 am offering her $100 and to buy her lunch if she drove them to Milwaukee where the wedding was. She slammed the door in the their face.

Anyways, a couple weeks ago I talked to my probation officer and he said that someone has been calling him telling him lies about me again... of course, he figured it was Niks mom. Because she had called him in the past. So Nik called her dad and asked if they did and told them to stop if they are calling my po. He told her they didnt and started arguing with her on the phone and trying to cover for every minutes of where they were for the entire weekend, claiming they didnt have time to make this phone call.

That was a Monday. At 10 pm that night, theres a knock on the door and its her parents, we open the door and they come in screaming and threatening us, saying if we continue to accuse them of calling my po, they will press charges for "false accusations." Theres no such thing, dumbasses, get your stories straight. Then they proceeded to sit here for 2 HOURS and again try to alibi for where they were every minute of the entire weekend, then told me they wanted me to call my po the next day and find out exactly what day and time this person called him, and if he lied about it then they wanted to take me to his office with them and get it straightened out. I was just the messenger. I told Nik what my po told me. Her Mom also sat there and told me "I havent called your po since April or May..." Well stupid, what makes me think you didnt do it this time? Then at the beginning of our conversation, she claims the po told her the person who called him was a woman who sounded drunk, then later in the conversation she said no, he didn't say it was a woman, he said "the person", then continued to try to make a list of other people who could have called, including her daughter and her husbands parents who live in Milwaukee! Okay, if they didnt do it, why would they spend 2 hours over here trying to alibi it? They were just mad because I didnt go to this outdoor concert thing with them on Saturday night, I went to the races with Zach instead. And said I should start "blowing off" Zach to spend time with Nicole. HA! Sorry, I was NOT going to go stand in a blacktop parking lot on a Saturday night when its 90 degress out and humid as hell to listen to music. And I never promised them I would go, I said if I didnt have anything else going on I would go. After that I told her I want nothing to do with her parents. I dont want to associate with them, I dont want to see them, I dont want to do anything or go anywhere with them. I also told Nik not to tell her parents ANYTHING about me... its none of their business. If they bring it up, just tell them its noone of their business.

Well, after they leave, we call the police and ask if they can threaten us in that sense and press charges etc. The officer said no, theres no such thing, and just to let it go because if I dont want to feed into their game just let them think what they want. He told me not to call my po, not to go down there with them because I dont need myself in any more trouble then necessary. If they have a problem with something my po said to me, they can go take it up with him. And her dad had also tried to tell me that the probation office has already moved to their new location in the courthouse... because he cleans that building for work and theyre no longer in there. SO I called my po the next day to verify, and he said theyre not moving til Dec 13... her dad was just trying to get me to miss my next appt. How stupid does he think I am?

The next day she calls her parents and tells em that if they come over here threatening or harassing us again like that, they can expect to be escorted off the property. Her mom turned it around, saying Nik told her they could never come visit. Which um, they have NEVER come to just visit her.

So then comes my bday, which, also happens to be shared with Niks Dad. Nik texted me and said she was going out to lunch with her parents for her Dads bday. I said ok, I would be home in a little bit and then I was going over to Jen's. She replied Ok, nothing more. I hadnt left for Jens yet when she got home, and she started yelling at me telling me that it's MY fault for not asking HER if SHE wanted to do anything with me on MY birthday. Ummm, no. There's a reason they call it "making plans...." And states she cant make plans because she doesnt know what shes doing from one day to the next. Say what? You don't do ANYTHING! If you have ONE thing to do for the entire day, you think the whole day is shot! Ultimately, I made her cry. She threw two presents on the table when she walked in and said "theres your presents" and went to hide in the bedroom. So I asked her if she was going to watch me open em, she said it didnt matter because she already knew what they were and she hoped I liked them better then her gifts. I said I never said I didnt like your gifts, I just said I would add them to the ever growing collection of them I already have. She asked if I wanted to go to Pizza Doctors with her parents for our bday for dinner, and I said no, I still wanted nothing to do with her parents and thats not going to change. She screams that they were just trying to be nice, and I said I dont care. I really dont have a problem with her parents, its what they do behind my back I have a problem with. Plus Pizza Doctors food makes me sick. So she told me to just leave after another screaming match. If I stuck around any longer, it would have gotten worse.

So I did. I stand outside talking to one of our neighbors for a few minutes, and as Im leaving I hear her talking. Shes in the bedroom with the window open, crying to her Dad, saying how Im not going to get the job at wal mart because Im going to fail the drug test and they might as well come get her since I didnt want to do anything with her etc etc. Off to Jens I go. So much for a happy birthday. Oy does it get better.

So we're all chilling out over at Jen's place, and Im telling em all whats been happening, and maybe after an hour or two... Niks Dads van drives by... I run out to the street to make sure it was their van... and it was. O hell no. They have no business being on that block... Jen lives across the street from the middle school and the pool, one is closed for the season and the other isnt yet open. So I tell Jen that now theyre driving by here... and we call the police again. Theyve caused problems with Jen in the past also... Niks parents called CPS on Jen before her first child was born saying that she was "hiding" the baby. This was 2 weeks before Akira was born.

Well, Officer Hansen shows up... he knows me what can I say LOL. Tell him what happened over at the apt, and now that Niks parents are driving by Jens place and wouldnt be surprised if they start causing trouble with Jen. He asked me if I would like him to go talk to them, I said it would probably make things worse and he agreed. I told him that I want to be done with this family altogether... every last one of them, and due to that they'll probably also try to start crap again and said things would get worse before they get better. He advised me to try to get my things out of NIks apt when she isnt home and find somewhere else to stay. Told him Im waiting to hear back from a job, I tool the drug test that morning and as soon as it came back I should be hired... (btw its been 3 days and Im still waiting) He told me to let him know if anything happens etc etc.

So I get a ride to come back to the apt and was going to grab some things then figure out how to get the rest of the things out the next day, and Nik was home. I told her that they had no business driving past Jens place, they were just spying on me to see what I was up to, and she tried to say that her brother wanted to show her where the theater on the corner was because he knows the owner. I said driving by the theater isnt going to make you see the owner and I called bullshit. She asked if we could work this out, and I said we are not married and she needs to stop treating me as if we were. Then before I left, I told her she needs to seek professional help.

She texted me shortly after I left, and I called her and she asked me if I would also go to counseling with her. I said no, we are not married, and she needs help, I don't. I have plenty of outlets and she does not aside from her family and her family is the problem. Said she needs to seek professional help to learn how to deal with her family because thats the underlying issue. She says she wants to be more independent, but I tell her she needs to stop running to Mommy and Daddy for everything, like rides to places because her car has been broke down since the end of June.

And that brings us to the next issue. Nik got a job yesterday, and starts on Aug 30, the same day I start back to school. Apparently her Dad told her yesterday that he will help her fix her car... if she throws me out by the end of the month. She told him no, then he threatened to call the landlord. It doesnt matter if he calls the landlord, because I dont stay here consistently. Then today when he came to pick hr up, she asked her Dad for her mailbox key back. Her Dad told her he would not give it back because I have no right to have it becuase Im not on the lease... well, he isnt either! DUH! I told Nik that her dad doesnt want to fix the car because he wants her to rely on him for rides and what not. SO I told her to call around to different shops and find out how much it would cost for diagnostics, and then how much it would cost for towing, and go from there and fix it herself. At least then she would have an idea of how much money she would need to get the car fixed, or at least start to fix it. She also did find a counselor that she can get in to see next week.

Also her Dad has a car part of hers that she needs to try to fix the car, but he refuses to give it back to her. I told her to go over there and ask for it and if he refuses to give it back to call the police and tell them theyre holding her property. Her Dad told her that he threw it away, then he said her brother put it somewhere and he dont know where but he would look for it. Thats been 2 weeks at least.

I want to get out of here and be done with the entire family. Honestly, I have nowhere else to go besides the shelter, and I cant have my cat there. I tried calling a few people the other day to talk to them and see if they had any input, but got voicemails to all 5 people I called and none have returned my calls. Thats what I meant when I said people say they dont have the time but its true they just dont want to make the time.

Where Did 2009 Go?

Hard to believe my ten year high school reunion is next yr already. Wow.

I had Austin here after school the other day and I was trying to help him with his spelling words. He was stuck on the word "neighbor. He kept getting the e and the i mixed up. So I told him the phonics rule that I learned in school that i before e except after c. And he spelled the word out, still getting it wrong, when I corrected him, he looks at me and says, "I was putting the i before the e."

Took another look, and gosh darn it, the kid was right! I'd been outsmarted by a 7 yr old.

So I went on to do a little more research and I guess its i before e except after c......... (and before gh). sleigh. weigh. neigh. I dont remember learning that part yet I alwasy kicked butt at spelling bees in our class, school, and district.

Well, then I say out of the blue that they must be changing the rules on us since I was in 2nd grade like 15 yrs ago. The look on the kids face was priceless. "So... you're 17 years older than me?" Yeah, buddy, I am. "Wow. Whoa." He laughs. "That's crazy."

Yeh, it sure is. Be a kid while ya can, kiddo. Don't grow up too fast cuz you will miss it.

Love ya, buddy

I Ran Him Over...

So everyone is asking how Zach and I met... Here's the story.

Sometime back in the spring I was visiting La Crosse on my night off... staying with my friend Nicole on French Island. She was at work all night and since I also work overnight shifts I was up all night. I brought my bike and decided to go for a bike ride... end up in Onalaska. Stopped at Kwik Trip on Oak Forest Drive to get something to drink (it was kinda a warm night) and left.

I'm riding my bike up the sidewalk, northbound on 2nd Ave S... and there's a guy walking in the crosswalk in front of me. It was about 230-300 am, and I was kinda surprised to see someone else besides delivery drivers and police officers out at this hour. So I made the announcement that I was there so I wouldn't run him over :) I said "coming up on your left."

This guy jumped... about three feet in the air, both arms up in a defense stance, one in front of his face, the other out ready to strike. I stopped. I was like "Dude... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to scare ya... you ok?" He says "yeah... you just caught the wrong guy on the wrong night." So I apologized again and asked if he was ok, he said he was but didn't seem like it. So I asked if he wanted to talk, and he stops, looks at me, and asked what I was doing out at 3 in the morning. Told him I worked nights and my friend I was staying with also worked overnights, I was sick of sitting at the apartment alone so I decided to go for a bike ride. Then I asked him what HE was doing out at 3 in the morning. Told me basically the same thing; he worked nights and just wanted to get out awhile so he ran to KT for a drink and cigs.

So we sat down.. right there in the parking lot... and talked... and talked... and talked... til the sun came up... and then we called a cab and went back to Nik's apartment... and talked some more.... told him I didn't live around here so I wasn't sure if I wanted to begin a long distance relationship. He said "you'll be back, right?" Said yeah, I come up to visit quite a bit, so he left me his number and told me to call him when I'm in town.

Couple weeks later... I texted him... no reply... for a couple weeks... I'm out with some friends in the Dells and we're on the way home and he sends me a text asking if I remembered him... we met a couple weeks ago... I threw the phone at Bekah cuz I was driving and she proceeded to have an interesting text conversation with him... he ended it saying "keep in touch."

Couple weeks later... I'm working and around 230 a.m. my text ringers going off... check it, it's Zach. We texted back and forth for awhile... told him I'd be up in Onalaska for the fireworks in the end of June and said we should get together. He agreed, and we met there and watched them with Jennah and Clint and Akira.... and he said he was going downtown after to hang out with some friends and wanted to know if I wanted to join him. Told him I'd meet him there in a little bit... Got there around midnight... had so much fun... hung out afterwards til 430 in the morning walking around the island... things kinda went from there.

So now we're together... and both happy... and looking to have quite a future together. He's met my parents kinda by accident, and everyone asking me why I had him meet my parents so soon. I said because I live with my parents and I do things with them and they are a part of my life and if Zach is going to be a part of my life he is probably going to be doing things with them also. It don't matter what anyone else says anyway... my parents love him and he thinks they're cool... so there :P

And I'm happy with him. That's all that counts. When people ask how we met, he says "she ran me over." I say "by scaring the hell out of him."

I've Got My Computer Back!

Wow has this year been flying by! I haven't been able to come here because we just got wireless internet hooked up at my parents house this last weekend and now I can use my laptop at home again! YAY! All my pages were stored in my favorites and it hasn't been easy sharing the desktop upstairs with Mom and Dad although now it's not so bad because I have my laptop back!
Anyways, I been living back at home with my parents in Adams since the middle of February. I decided to come back here when I had been in La Crosse for about 6 months and things were not going so well, and I received a letter in with my W2 from the guy I worked for last summer besiacally beggin me to come back to work for him so I was working the following weekend. Things have been going well at work. I told him I would not like to be a ranking agent at this time because I want to take things slow for now, and there is already one location we work at which has requested I be the only agent there on nights they need someone and they do like 6 nights on 7 off or something like that. For now that means I am working my butt off one week and the next week scraping up anything I can get for hours. But our big tourist season starts up this weekend in the Dells with Automotion weekend and next weekend being Memorial Day, that's usually when everything kicks in, and gas prices are down and Lake Delton is back.... so we're hoping for a better summer than last year! Aight I have to get moving and mosey my way on to work so I'l write more soon I promise!
