...plus a day.
This hasn't been so bad. I can kind of get used to
staying home more... or not. At least I'm getting things
accomplished.... somewhat. I've started a new scrapbook, am working on a
new photo album... my photos are so unorganized it's crazy. I've got em
sorted in a box labeled by subject in envelopes and keep changing where
I'm going to stash them... I'm giving in and just putting all the
pictures that aren't going in the scrapbooks into a photo album.
I've
also started working on Christmas presents, although I have to make
sure I don't give away any more info than that SSSSHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! And
also completed another project I started a long time ago... and have
also been working on re-writing my book for the third time.... this time
I am backing it all up on my flash drive and saving it each chapter in a
different document. That's also making it easier to edit.... since all
names and locations are being changed to protect the guilty.
I
made pumpkin bread the other day... it turned out awesome... and was
going to make cupcakes but the store didn't have red velvet cake so I
had to settle with chocolate... but haven't got to that yet... I've come
down with bronchitis this week and been feeling miserable... pumping my
stomach full of hot tea and cough drops and Nyquil that doesn't seem to
work....so the cupcakes are still waiting to be made... I'm feeling a
little better but still squeaky... and my lungs hurt... maybe I'll get
to them this weekend.
Saw the dr. yesterday and she upped my anti
depressants and also put me on something else for anxiety. It's weird
because I can't drink grapefruit juice while on this medication... not
that I would drink the stuff anyway, it's nasty, but that's something
I've never heard of before... and so far I'm doing well on it... well,
it's the 2nd day... and the dr. isn't leaving until the end of the year
and she will have me set up with someone else before she leaves.
I
kep buying balls for the cat... little plastic ones that she knocks
around the house for about ten minutes before they disappear. I can't
find them anywhere... there's 6 of them that she's lost somewhere in
this tiny place in 2 days... silly cat.
The words of a just-turned-30-something trying to find her niche in this world. Aspiring writer, indecisive wanderer, random eye for odd pictures.

Holly Called The Doctor And The Doctor Said....
"I'm leaving. You need to see someone else."
Seriously.
She's moving across the state to be closer to her family.
OK. So I called the doc today to see if I can go on something for anxiety. Since I been having major issues with things lately. This conversation did not go so well. It actually made me kinda mad.
But I didn't actually speak to the doc I'd been seeing... spoke with her nurse practitioner. She's out of town this week getting things set up to move. It seems doctors take more vacations then any person in any other profession I've ever known.
Anyway... the nurse told me the dr. dont want to put me on any anti anxiety meds. She wants me to go back on the anti depressants she had me on before. I quit taking them last spring for good reason.
They made me boring. Honestly. I hated it. I was completely numb to the entire world and any emotions having to do with anything. And me, I am clearly anti pill ANYTHING. I never wanted to go on anti depressants in the first place...
She was telling me that the meds I was on before also helps with anxiety. I was on 60 mg a day of that and I still had anxiety issues then and I told her that. Then she tells me that I have to see my dr. before she will put me on anything else... but can't see me til next Wednesday. OK fine.
THEN she says she can have me see her once more before she leaves or just have me start over with someone else. And tells me they have a 2 year waiting list to see a psychologist. But it may be less time now because they have 3 new practitioners and it might not be 2 years anymore.
So she asked me if I tried seeing someone at the county building. Been there, done that... called them a couple weeks ago and they have almost a 3 month period before anything is available.
Then this nurse had the nerve to ask how I'm going to pay for my visits. NUNYA! Told her yeah, I dont have insurance anymore but I just work out payment arrangements.
Not true. I cant pay the bill so they send it to collections. Then THEY come after me. I thought you couldn't be denied healthcare due to your inability to pay? That's what the signs in the emergency room used to say. They'll just send ya a bill and if you can't pay it they'll send it to a collections agency and let them destroy your credit.
Yeah, Imma be paying medical bills til Im 99.
So I told her fine... put me on the meds now, I'll see the dr. next week, and we'll go from there.... now the only problem is how am I going to get my meds??? They're at Onalaska Wal Mart... I'm on house arrest.
:)
Seriously.

Milwaukee.... by way of.... the rest of the state....?????
I am never going to Milwaukee with my roomates family. Wow. On the other
hand, I wish I would have went along to slap em all SILLY.
They left La Crosse around 1030 am. And got there... at 430. Now I have made this trip in 2 hours. 2 and a half. When I was driving LOL. CUZ I KNOW THE WAY. Even when we took the bus to the Brewers game in April... we left La Crosse at 730 am and were tailgating at Miller Park by 1045.
They had EXACT directions to her sisters place. Its two turns off the freeway at the Miller Park exit. How hard can that be? Seriously...
She said they stopped in Portage and only insisted on getting gas at a Kwik Trip. Instead of any other EZ on EZ off gas station..... they got lost in Portage. And ended up in Waupun. How dumb do ya hafta be to go HALFWAY across the state on a HIGHWAY before you realize you're no longer on the FREEWAY????
So she called a friend of hers who lives in Columbus and has driven them to Milwaukee in the past. This moron directs them to Hwy 151 towards Madison (which goes southWEST when they need to head southEAST) to get em back on 94... INSTEAD of telling them to keep going on 33 and hit up Hwy 41, (which goes straight SOUTH to Milwaukee) which woulda saved them gas. And a few (hundred) miles.
They leave Milwaukee at 11. She got pulled over for not yielding to an emergency vehicle for a Trooper who was on a traffic stop in the right lane, she didn't get into the left lane. Lucky she got off with a warning. I woulda cited her and sent her right back to driver's ed.
So when you're coming back from Milwaukee... on the freeway... for someone who is directionally challenged, I tell them once they get near Madison, follow the signs towards Portage, then towards the Dells, then to La Crosse. Simple as that. Or so I thought.
She missed the turn for Portage. And winds up on the west side of Madison on the Beltline and ends up coming back up Hwy 12 through Sauk and Boo and the Dells. And they didnt get home til 345 am.
Isn't reading signs a factor in a driving test? Come on now... seriously? I give it 3 months before she wrecks her car.

Ever Have Those Moments....
that we consider blonde? I think being stuck inside is making me have more. If thats possible.
Yesterday I was trying to find the feather duster to clean the cobwebs off the dining room ,kmwjqq3239uwoeijd <---- That was Squeex... kitty just walked across my keyboard lol
Anyways... I was trying to find the duster to clean the lights in the dining room and I thought I looked EVERYWHERE my roomate would have had it. In the closet, on top of the fridge where it used to be...in the bedroom... under the bed... under the sink... I couldnt find it anywhere. Finally I texted her and asked where it was.
"Should be on the wall by the flyswatter."
Duh. Thats on a hook on the wall in the kitchen, between the closet and bathroom. I walk past it who knows how many times a day.
Corner Gas rocks. It's an awesome show that's set in Dog River Saskatchewan and used to be on WGN but hasn't for a couple years... I just found Season 1 on DVD and been watching it all day... all 13 episodes... 1 and a half left I mean. Then bed lol.
It's freeeeezing outside tonight. I have been freezing all day and Im usually the hot blooded one. So I shut the windows and turned on the heat. The heat was on about an hour before I realized it hadn't kicked in yet... so I took another look and flipped the switch again and then thought maybe I had it up too high and that's why it wasn't going on... that dont make sense... so I turned it the other way and it kicked in... thats when I realized it was on the AC setting not the heat... duh!
Niks Mom wanted me to watch her cousin today because her Dad is in the hospital and they were going to Milwaukee today to visit her other sister. I said no because Im not gonna sit in the house all day with a 12 yr old doing nothing... a young kid, maybe, or if I wasn't stuck in one place I would because then I'd take her somewhere and do something with her and what not... but I asked why they wouldnt take her with them. I'm sure she would love to see her cousins.
The first excuse was... they were afraid they're going to get lost because this is the first time they were driving on their own and not having someone else drive them there. I told Nik right out that doesn't make sense... Nik's been there, her sister has given her exact directions, I've been there enough times to know its simple enough that I was there once and knew how to get there... its 2 turns off the freeway.
The next excuse was that there was no room in the car for her because they were taking too much stuff down with them. I told her if she wanted me to pack the car I would... and this 12 yr old kid is a toothpick. She could fit between the front seats.
Then they said that if they took her along then she wouldn't want to leave. Well, she is 12. Who's the adult? When they tell her its time to leave, they leave. Pick her up kicking and screaming if you have to.
THEN they said they dont wanna take her because they dont want her to miss Sunday School on Sunday morning since they would be back late. I told her she would probably sleep in the car and playing with her cousins all day would wear her out.
They ended up not taking her. She went to a friends house instead. Pathetic I say. But whatever. And now she just texted me and said her sister got pulled over near Madison for not going to the left lane passing a trooper on a traffic stop.
And the idiot who assaulted me 2 weekends ago... got arrested tonight for beating up his girlfriend and threatening to throw her down the stairs. This is his 6th charge now... why do they keep letting this moron out of jail?

Bigotry and Discrimination
It pisses me off. My roomate is ALWAYS making comments about the Hmongs
who live in the back of our building. They don't hurt anything and never
bug us so what is her problem?
A few are moving out of the apartment in the back this morning and she was saying things like she's glad they're leaving and every time someone around here asks about something, she immediately says "it's probably the Hmongs". They're gentle people, they dont cause any problems around here that I've been aware of, they're just like us. Why does she have to be so hateful towards them?
I don't get it. I told her "so what? Somebody's moving out... its none of your business who is or for what reason..." Then she goes on to say they probably got kicked out. I'm glad she left after that because I seriously wanted to hit her. There's no reason for her to stand there and judge them on the account that they didn't do anything. It just makes me mad.

One Week Down....
and then some... REALLY good news is... I counted it out on the calendar
and I'm only stuck for 90 days. Well, 82 days now cuz it's midnight in
like 3 minutes.
Thats so silly. The sanctions office called me yesterday... and I was told they're showing me out of the house from 1120 am to 1230 pm yesterday... do I know where I was?
Yes ya goofballs... I was in YOUR OFFICE! cuz my color for the day got called and I had to get there somehow to blow into the super sensitive pbt blower thingie to make sure I wasn't drinking... they think I can like teleport from my apartment 5 miles away and be there then show up back before the 10 minute leeway the phone box gives me before it starts tattling on me? HA!
So I told the chick... yeh I was down there... I had to go blow.. and she said ok Im looking for your name on the list cuz we have to sign in every day on our color sheets... and they write the time you were there... crazy people.
Me being stuck inside all the time is making me gain weight... me no likey. I cant see my feet anymore... but I knew that would happen. At least I didn't buy a whole new 24 pack of Mountain Dew today... a 12 pack of orange soda, a 12 pack of cream soda, and a 12 pack of Big Red instead... now if I could just figger out how to get them all to fit in the fridge. Those "fridge packs" aren't exactly much better. Cuz they dont fit in my fridge!
Still dont have a topic for my Environmental Science paper... I cant believe I told my instructor right out I dont care about the environment! Well... just being honest.
It has been a sad week though... my best friends 4 month old nephew passed away Monday. I havent spent much time with Alex, but it still hit close to home. This is my favorite picture of him:

My roomates mouth needs a muffler. She laughs like a freaking hyena.

I'm Going Crazy....
and I've only been on house arrest for 2 days... day 3 today... the only
time I get out of the yard is when I have to go downtown and blow into
the PBT every morning.... BEFORE noon... that really sucks... I am so
NOT a morning person.
Other than that I can get out for school with 45 minutes to get there and home before and after, but that's only 2 nights a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, and then I get free time out for four hours on Thursday afternoon.
Having your freedom stripped from you REALLY sucks. All I can say is being stuck at home is ALOT better than being trapped in the brick and iron walls of a jail cell block. I've been there, enough and hopefully NEVER will be again! I am going to get this done and over with...
There are some advantages... I can cook my own food instead of eating something thats barely identifiable.... rule number one of cafeteria food... never eat anything you cant identify. I can still go outside to get the mail or sit outside as long as I can "touch the house".... and am out for less than 10 minutes at a time. I'm gonna buy a 50 foot phone cord and put the box right next to the window so I can venture a little further into the yard... I've been thinking about putting my cot right next to the outside wall and taking a nap out there lol.....
Other advantages... I can have Mountain Dew! I'm probably going to gain 50 pounds in the next 4 months lol....
I can watch my own tv... cable, not local digital channels... they don't even get ABC in the jail! They have four channels of PBS, and CBS. Thats it. I have my computer... and I can go to school....
And I have my computer... I love my computer... all my friends live in it...
So its not all that bad, I guess I can just make the most of it... just the fact that I cant come and go at my own free will is whats going to drive me insane. My roomate can leave, but its her apartment and I'm concerned that she's going to cause trouble here... and I had some friends stay with me last night and theyre still here now... she didn't like that too much... they're going to the races tonight and I want to go!
Fall is my favorite season and this really sucks! OK I'll learn to live with it... I do have some good news though... I thought I would be on for 7 months cause the judge sentenced me to 120 days for one charge and 90 days for the other charge... I get off Dec 1 instead of April 7 because my sentence is running concurrent, not consecutive. That makes me happy!
Then hopefully I am outta here and done with this drama queen!

Does anyone know what todays logo is supposed to represent? Usually you can arrow over the logo and it will say what it represents, but today... it just blows away! I'm thinking the start of hurricane season LOL
I have now discovered that todays logo represents the anniversary of the bouncy ball. Superballs rock!

I'm Procrastinating Again....
School. Yay.
Although its taking some getting used to. At least Ive attempted to do some research on my research paper lol I'm not used to University level classes, much different then tech... plus it's been 3 years since I graduated tech school.
But I may change topics. So far I'm trying to discover if children growing up in poverty are more or less likely to become juvenile delinquents and do those children have a better chance of growing up to be successful adults. Do they want to get away and better themselves from the way they grew up/were raised, or do they fall into the trap and become adult criminals and not ever make anything of themselves?
Well, thats the first time I thought of something that far, but so far the only thing I've found that I could really use is a pamphlet on juvenile delinquents who did grow up and be successful upstanding citizens with awesome careers, such as one who was a star player for the Kansas City Chiefs, and another who now heads the OJJDP Child Protection Division.
Since the juvenile system deals more with rehabilitation then punishment, do juvies in the system actually come out and not want to get in trouble by the time they are adults? On the other hand... you've got weirdoes in this world like myself, who didn't start getting in trouble until I was 19. One who was never involved in the juvenile justice system.
And Major Payne that is currently on TV on ABC Family... great movie that is severely edited on this channel... blaaaah :)

And Major Payne that is currently on TV on ABC Family... great movie that is severely edited on this channel... blaaaah :)

Blah Summer
This summers been rather boring I just discovered. Well, I've been bored
plenty but now Im even MORE bored with no vehicle, just back to my two
feet and pedal power to get around, and every once in awhile the city
bus, and no job. I cannot wait for school to start! One more month and
counting... just hoping Ill be able to come up with the funds before
hand to get the books I need! My new addiction is the Bejeweled Blitz
game on facebook... dunno why Ive been playing it way too much...
usually I dont have the attention span for computer games...
but yeah, its been a rather non interesting summer... and its almost over. So far this summer I have managed to blow up my car, crash my computer (which meant I lost the whole 40 some pages of my book I had already typed and saved for the 2nd time), finish watching the entire 10th season of 7th Heaven (one more to go, just wish they would release the date its coming to DVD) and yeah, thats about all :)
